Our Philosophy
LCMC provides accessible, high-quality chamber music experiences that empower young musicians to collaborate, grow in empathy and confidence, and uplift one another through music.
What we offer
The Chamber Music Experience
Small ensembles coached weekly by professional musicians. There is no conductor, so students shape the music together and finish the session with a public recital. No audition required.
Junior Orchestra
A conducted string orchestra experience for younger musicians, building the ensemble skills and confidence that lead into chamber playing.
The Tradition
What is chamber music?
Chamber music takes its name from the rooms it was made for: small gatherings held in the chambers of palaces and homes, where a full orchestra could never fit. It is music for small ensembles, one musician to a part and no conductor, so every player leads and every player listens.
How it works

Discovery
We get to know each student: instrument, experience, and playing level. No audition, just a conversation.

Placement
Students are placed in an ensemble that balances and challenges them alongside the right peers.

Repertoire
We choose music that each group will enjoy, and challenge them to grow.

Coaching
Weekly rehearsals with highly qualified coaches who guide ensemble communication, listening, and technique.

Performance
The session ends with a public recital for family, friends, and the community.
